The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is one of the most sacred pilgrimages in the world, taking devotees to the holy Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar in Tibet. This spiritual journey holds deep significance in Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and the Bon religion. In Hindu belief, Mount Kailash is regarded as the divine abode of Lord Shiva, while the sacred Lake Mansarovar is believed to possess powerful spiritual and purifying qualities.
The pilgrimage season generally runs from May to September, when travel conditions in the Himalayan region are more favorable. Due to the remote high-altitude terrain and international borders, pilgrims are required to obtain special permits and travel documents to undertake the journey.
