Nestled at an altitude of 5,400 meters in the Upper Mustang region of Nepal, Damodar Kund is one of the most sacred pilgrimage destinations in the Himalayas. Many Hindu devotees from around the world dream of visiting this holy lake at least once in their lifetime to take a sacred bath and seek divine blessings.
According to the Baraha Purana, the spiritual significance of Damodar Kund is closely connected to the Kaligandaki River, which originates from this holy lake. As the river flows southward towards the Indian border, it is believed to represent the divine form of Lord Vishnu lying in repose. In this symbolic representation, Damodar Kund is considered the head of Lord Vishnu, Muktinath represents the mouth, the Shaligram Chakra forms the chest, Ru Ru Kshetra in Palpa district symbolizes the waist, Devghat represents the knees, and finally Gajendra Moksha Dham in Nawalparasi represents the sacred feet of Lord Vishnu.

Damodarkund Yatra
Arrive in Pokhara, one of Nepal’s most beautiful cities surrounded by the Himalayas. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and complete the check-in formalities. Spend the evening at leisure exploring the lakeside area or relaxing at the hotel. Overnight stay in Pokhara.After breakfast, transfer to Pokhara Airport for a scenic helicopter flight to Muktinath. Upon arrival, visit the sacred Muktinath Temple and perform darshan and prayers. After completing the rituals, continue the helicopter journey to the holy Damodar Kund, located in the Upper Mustang region. Spend time at the sacred lake for darshan and puja. Later, fly back to Pokhara by helicopter and transfer to the hotel.Begin the day with breakfast at the hotel. Later, proceed for a Pokhara city sightseeing tour by private vehicle. The tour includes major attractions of Pokhara and a relaxing boating experience on Fewa Lake, offering beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. After the sightseeing tour, return to the hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Pokhara.After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed for your departure to Kathmandu or your onward destination, marking the end of your memorable pilgrimage journey.
Booking Conditions
- To confirm the booking, a deposit is required at the time of reservation. The remaining balance must be paid before the start of the tour. Travelers must provide valid passport details and necessary documents for Tibet permits and visas.
- Cancellation Policy :
- 60 days before departure – partial refund
- 30 days before departure – higher cancellation fee
- Less than 15 days before departure – no refund

- Weather conditions in Tibet may cause itinerary changes.
- Medical conditions should be disclosed before booking.
Documents Required
- Passport with at least six months validity
- Clear passport copy for permit processing
- Six recent passport-size photographs measuring 33 mm × 48 mm must be provided.
- The passport should have a minimum validity of six months from the planned travel date.
Cancellation Policy
- After the group naming list has been submitted for the Tibet travel permit, any cancellation will result in a penalty charge for each participant. The permit application process normally begins approximately 60 days before the scheduled departure date.
- If a traveler cancels the tour 45 days before the departure date, 75% of the total payment will be refunded.
- If the cancellation is made 30 days before departure, 50% of the total payment will be refunded.
- If the tour is canceled 15 days or less before the departure date, no refund will be provided.
