Kailash: Live

Kailash's second CD features many of the chants heard during his kirtan events that are not included in his first CD, Sincerity. It even includes Kailash's rendition of Message in a Bottle (a favorite with many audience members!).

Drawing upon two principal streams in Kailash's spiritual lineage, tantric Hinduism and Buddhism, these mantras provide lush soundscapes in which our hearts and minds may freely travel.

As Kailash says, "A mantra is a path to the Perfection that it represents. Each repetition is a step toward stable residence in that very Perfection."

The offerings on this CD are valuable resources for your journey to a version of yourself that is more consistent with your Chosen Ideal, and more capable of expressing the Radiant Care and Awareness that is our Essential Nature.

1. Guru Brahma
   GURU BRAMHA, GURU VISHNU, GURU DEVO MAHESHVARA.
   GURU SAKSHAT PARAMBRAHMHA; TASMAI SHREE GURAVE NAMAHA.
   The guru is Brahma, the guru is Vishnu, the guru is Lord Shiva.
   The guru is truly the Absolute One; that is why I bow to the holy guru.
   
   
2. Saman Mantra

   TAMASO MA JYOTIR GAMAYA
   MRITYOR MA AMRITAM GAMAYA
   AUM SHANTI SHANTI SHANTIHI.
   Lead us from the unreal to the Real,
   From darkness to Light,
   From death to Immortality.

3. Om Namah Shivaya
   AUM NAMAH SHIVAYA.
   Aum. I bow down to Shiva (The Auspicious One).
   
   
4. Six Syllable Mantra
   AUM MANI PADME HUNG.
   Aum. The Jewel is in the Lotus. Hung.
   
   
5. Medicine Buddha
   TAYATA AUM BEKANKA BEKANZA MAHA BEKANZA RANZE SAMOGATE SOHA.
   Aum. Healing, healing, Great Noble Healing within, Permeate everywhere. So be it.
   
   
6. Three Om Mantra
   AUM AUM AUM. SARVA BUDDHA DAKINIYE, VAJRA VARNANIYE, VAJRA VAIROCHANIYE. HUM HUM HUM PHAT PHAT PHAT SWAHA.
   Aum. All Awakened Sky-Dancers, Embodiment of Indestructible Body, Speech, and Mind. Grant every attainment, pacify all obstacles. So be it.
   
   
7. Message in a Bottle
   Just a castaway, an island lost at sea.
   Another lonely day, with no one here but me.
   More loneliness than anyone could bear.
   Rescue me before I fall into despair.
